Membership is currently open with a limited number of positions presently available.
Today club membership is capped to ensure that overcrowding does not impede play in competition rounds, and social rounds can be enjoyed without pressure.
Southport Golf Club has a proud reputation in the Australian Golfing Industry as the premier member owned golf club on the Gold Coast. These long standing traditions coupled with innovative and strategic management continue to ensure Southport's reputation is upheld through time. The well established course has undergone substantial modernisation over the past decade with millions of dollars reinvested back into the development of the course. The course is a 5792 metre par 71 Championship layout that has hosted a number of State and National Championships. The course is widely regarded as a challenging test for every golfer, whether on a low or high handicap. "I joined Southport Golf Club13 years ago after my children had both left home and I needed to do something for 'me' as any woman in the same situation suddenly realises. I quickly made some very close friends and both my husband & I got involved in the social atmosphere at the club which, to this day remains one of the best parts of our life.
